REGISTRYa public national record of energy practitioners — free to be listed — how it works
Home  /  GET LISTED

Getting on it takes one form and a check.

Send what you hold and who issued it. We verify it with them, publish it, and tell you when it is live. No membership, no fee, no obligation to anything else.

The whole process is designed to take you about four minutes and us about four days.

What to send

  • Your name as it appears on the credential, and the city and province you work from.
  • Every credential you hold, worded as its issuer words it, with the registration or certificate number and the issuing organization named.
  • Your discipline or disciplines — residential assessment, commercial audit, envelope retrofit, HVAC, solar, commissioning, engineering.
  • The provinces and regions you actually work in, so that a search returns people who will travel to the person searching.
  • An email address we can confirm the listing to.

What happens next

  1. Acknowledgement, immediately. A reference number appears on screen when you submit.
  2. Verification, within days. We check each credential against the issuing organization's own record.
  3. Publication. Verified entries go live with the issuer named and the verification date shown.
  4. If something cannot be verified, we tell you which item and why, and publish the rest.
  5. Re-verification on a cycle, so the record stays true rather than decaying quietly.
Employers with a team

Listing a crew is the same process at scale. Send the list and we will handle the verification in one batch. There is no charge for this either, and no requirement that anyone on the list buys anything from anybody.

Corrections and removal

Ask and it is changed. Ask and it is removed, at any time, without giving a reason. Your entry is about you and you decide whether it exists. If you believe an entry about somebody else is wrong, tell us and we will re-verify it with the issuing body.

Disclosure

CABCEP is not accredited and issues no certification. A registry entry records a credential issued by another organization and verified by us on a date. It is not an endorsement, a recommendation, or a warranty of anyone's work.

Your information

What appears publicly is your name, city, province, discipline, service area, the credentials you asked us to list, their issuers and the verification date. Contact details are not published unless you explicitly ask for them to be. We do not sell the registry as a mailing list, and we do not pass it to anyone else.

Common questions

How long does verification take?

Usually a few days. Some issuing bodies have public verification tools and take minutes; others answer by email on their own schedule.

Will my phone number be published?

Not unless you ask for it. The default entry is name, location, discipline, service area and verified credentials.

Can my company be listed instead of me?

The registry lists individuals, because credentials are issued to individuals. An employer can list its whole team, and each entry names the person who holds the credential.

Do I have to renew the listing?

No. We re-verify on a cycle and will contact you if something has lapsed.

The registry

Put your credential on the public record.

Listing is free, verified against the issuing body, and open to practitioners certified by anyone. The registry is only worth anything if it is the whole industry.
